This is a very underrated album.

Had an excellent time last night watching @stuhennigan.bsky.social in conversation with Terri White about his debut novel ‘Keshed’. Stu edited the early draft of the Bob Stewart book I’m writing. You should all #GetKeshed - he’s a phenomenal writer and an absolute gent.

Great to meet you last night! :-)

My big head in that pic. Had a great night. Have just started the book and it’s fantastic. Congratulations Stu! X

I’ve not managed to pass on much to my teenage son but he does love Martin Scorsese. This morning he said to me that Scorsese hasn’t made a film as enjoyable as ‘Ocean’s 11’. Or as short. He said it to wind me up and I laughed in his face but have thinking about it all day and he may have a point.

Hugely enjoyable early morning due to waking up to a new Quietus podcast from @jahduran.bsky.social and @luketurner.bsky.social rambling on about Missy Elliot. Makes a change from all the Cold War audiobooks I’m listening to at the moment.

Well, it’s not like the auld yin is wrong, is it.

Not to piss on anyone’s fireworks but, however entertaining the Labour right chaos is, their failure will likely usher in a disastrous and horrific Reform government. So we must temper our laughter with hatred.

It’s nice, isn’t it. The silence.

Keir Starmer about to announce the latest government reset.

Unbothered. Moisturized.
Happy in my lane. Thriving.

Ha! The elephant’s foot gets a mention.

COMING SOON! A post on how George Fletcher planned to turn Sheffield communist through the citywide distribution of breadcakes and cream puffs. Or something. Will also include Bob Stewart and secret stashes of Moscow gold!

I’m off to Halifax!

Spent the food budget on David Byrne tickets.

And yet a lot of people thought he was wonderful.
Can't stop laughing at Keir Starmer's defence being "I asked the Prince of Darkness 'are you telling me the truth?' and he said 'yes' and now I have discovered that I was LIED to by the Prince of Darkness! The Prince of Darkness LIED to me!"
Child at the podium: “A woo woo woo.”

Mamdani: That’s how I felt when we came up with this plan. Together, we will expand the idea of what is possible in our city—and what sounds and noises we can make at a press conference.

Watching ‘State Funeral’ just to feel something.

Thank you Zarah Sultana for committing the phrase ‘besties with a convicted nonce’ to Hansard.

Today marks one year since the tragic loss of Michael Burawoy, ISA President (2010-2014).

In his memory, we have compiled an e-book based on the commemorative online session held last February, preserving the messages, stories, and photos contributed by participants.

Quick question. Which jobs rely on holding complicated financial information in your head. Especially helpful if answers relevant to 1950s. I’m think bookmaker at the races but would welcome suggestions.

What’s your Andy Warhol’s Factory Starlet name? The last piece of confectionary you ate coupled with your favourite affectionate epithet. Mine’s Chocolonely Darlin’.
