Genuinely I think a lot of the obtuse elements of old Pokemon games are what gave them texture and I think getting rid of ALL of them kinda flattens the experience

I also want to note as an addendum that "pushing tutorializaton on players" and "having no resources at all" are not the same thing. I'm dating myself here but a LOT of 90s adventure games had an NPC you could _ask_ for hints but who would not typically volunteer them and many are beloved characters
