The ending to Consume Me is interesting for a few reasons, but I like how [spoilers] as an autobiographical work that catches up to the present, the game becomes a document of its own creation. Dev stuff. Awkward pitch meetings. “It’ll be out soon, mom.” You play a little of Consume Me’s Consume Me.

Ooh, the Gnosia anime has started. Super curious about this because I love the original game for its narrative design - its story perfectly complemented the game mechanics. It must be a challenge to adapt to a different medium.

Kind of an interesting one because there must be fans who love the lore/music/art but barely touch the games because they don't like competitive fighters, and fans who have poured in hundreds of hours perfecting combos but don't care for the lore.

Yessss. The way the characters’ personalities informs how they play the deduction game is wonderful. It’s great at drawing you in and making trust and betrayal feel personal.

Renal Summer is a game where you play as a dying dog's kidneys, with the story playing out in real-time. The narrative design is fascinating - it's a twist on predatory mobile game practices. It does actually have a good ending after about a week of play.

I’m biased because I’m a Slice and Dice addict, but I think you’d enjoy Slice and Dice. It has really nice class/party design, and also has curse modes where bad stuff piles up until the game breaks.

I loved making this battle. Gratuitous boss intro animation, Great Mouse Detective setting, Metal Gear pose, Revenge of Meta Knight UI, Pendulum music, text-to-speech environmental facts. Just throwing everything into the pot and making a maximalist stew.
