On the 20th of May, I wrote a formal email to Susy from HR (and CC'd my manager and the company CEO) outlining my concerns. That's when the proverbial feces hit the proverbial fan. The CEO summoned me into his office, called me an "impudent worm who needs to respect the trans agenda", and threatened my immediate removal from the company. 5. Please outline the current status of your case. The current status is that I am in the middle of a tense fight with the CEO. Over the course of last week, pointed words transitioned into shouted threats, and the shouting soon erupted into bloody, gendered violence. "Looks like I'll have to get serious," muttered the CEO, as he drew his phallic revolver. 6. Please provide details to date of losses sustained or harms caused as a result of the case. I sustained three bullet wounds from the ensuing gunfight. 7. Have you previously approached any other organisations or professional bodies for funding or support? I have received no support. The light is fading. All hope is lost. But wait. Who's that gallant silhouette upon the horizon? Could it be... Wes Streeting?

Over several sessions, I flipped the in-game coin 2317 times and recorded the results: • Tails: 1289 • Heads: 1028 At first glance, this might not seem that suspicious, but I ran the numbers, and the stats tell a different story. Statistical Test: Is This Coin Fair? In a fair coin flip, we'd expect roughly 50% heads and 50% tails, meaning the expected count for each outcome is: E= 2317/2 = 1158.5E The difference from expectation: • Tails deviation: 1289 - 1158.5 = +130.5.

The Pokemon TCG Pocket community goes feral over coins and probabilities. Here’s an argument that comes up repeatedly.

Over a large number of games featuring Misty, if we recorded every coin, would we expect to see an equal number of heads and tails?

I call it the Misty Hall problem.
A Misty Pokemon card. Choose 1 of your water Pokémon, and flip a coin until you get tails. For each heads, take a water Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to that Pokémon.

A comparison with the older fan translation is interesting. It’s a little less stilted, but there’s still some repetition that I assume stems from the author’s style!
Closing my eyes, I concentrate on the inside of my body. ...l don't have the skills to detect or remove someone's magical energy from within me. But such skills are unnecessary if the magical energy is not rooted in my body. If Ilya's magical energy is stagnant in my body, all I have to do is channel strong magical energy through me and push it out.-

The prose in Fate Stay Night is weird. It’s full of repetition, to the point that paragraphs sound stilted. There are tons of examples like this.

I would love to hear from translators what they think is going on here. Is it a deliberate style choice?
I close my eyes and focus inward, on my own body. I may not have the skill to detect and remove foreign magical energy that's invaded my body... But I don't need anything like that, so long as I'm dealing with magical energy that hasn't become a curse and taken root in my body. If Illya's magical energy is lingering, stagnant in my body, I just need a strong flow of magical energy through my body to flush it out.

An article snippet about shooter Luigi Magione's interest in games development: It appears that Luigi Mangione was interviewed by University of Pennsylvania publication - Penn Today - in 2018 about starting a video game development club. "In high school, I started playing a lot of independent games and stuff like that, but I wanted to make my own game, and so I learned how to code," Mangione, who is described as "Mangione, a junior from Baltimore" said. "In my freshman and sophomore years of high school, I learned [on my own] how to program, and that's why I'm a computer science major now; that's how I got into it," he added. "I just really wanted to make games." He and another student decided to start University of Pennsylvania Game Research and Development Environment (UPGRADE), the article states, a club where students develop their own video games.
