I think a lot about how profoundly unfair childhood trauma is.
It gives you a disability for effectively the rest of your life, AND can make you underearn, struggle with stability, become abused later in life, on top of impacting your physical health for years.

Anyway nobonzo’s favorite tactic against their targets is to demarginalize them and claim they’re lying about it. They know it’s a bad look, especially as a white person, so they keep it to back channels or launder it through nonwhite folks.

My therapist keeps pointing out to me that someone telling me their greatest fear was being "monstered" is a repetitional fear, not a fear of BEING a monster (which they seem perfectly comfortable with)

It really sucks how much they made me feel unsafe talk about my internalized narratives from childhood abuse because now I expect everyone to actively use those to extract from me. It was already so hard to explore and grapple with them.

Something that sucks really bad about my CPTSD is that I often don’t have event memories of the trauma, I often only have emotional memories or fear memories (I remember what I was afraid might happen).

Okay but i actually did see someone say minors shouldn't talk to adults on the internet and this is a very bad take its super dangerous for young people to only have their parents (who are most likely to be abusing them) as adults to talk to.

And sure, some people prefer Latine. But mostly people just don't like challenging gender norms!
The thing that drives me nuts about the "Latinx" stuff is that people talk as if that demographic is a monolith. "Most Latinos don't like Latinx" yeah and most English speakers don't like they/them. It's almost as if queer and gender non confirming people are a minority in every culture.
