Lots of 💥 in the season 3 finale. Wow.
I forgot Foundation was based off of books.
People were not concerned about my feelings as expected and instead they were sad that anyone would want to defund them.

The sad feeling was that they were made to feel like a police.

Anyways when I offered to go the distance with people and honor the disconnection by volunteering my bloodline (past, present, and future) to purge.

Unfortunately, some people for whatever reason cannot do that.

They'd rather do slander and bring their tribes' sovereign right to determine their own membership criteria into question.

(Unenrolled =\= disconnected BTW)
The proliferation of the term disconnected Natives is to target and delegitimize Black Natives.

Pretendianism is a phenomenon, but it doesn't hold water when people have papers.

At that point it's better to say you disagree or simply don't like someone.
I am skipping it too.
Some people say disconnected Natives with the same finish they say Urban and probably with the same drip of contempt that their grandparents say the N-word or they themselves say it behind closed doors.

What are the long term implications of when one side of the community endlessly campaigns for decades to establish that certain Black families that are listed as citizens are illegal?

While the word ✌🏾urban✌🏾attacks the location of a Black tribal Individual.

The word disconnected is about calling people uncultured and specifically attacking their legal status.
It's not just about determining who is an authority.

If you can establish someone is disconnected than they have no right to be there and you do not have to serve them.

Native racists want you to believe Black people are second class citizens regardless of status or knowledge or connection.
I knew a Native family that was so racist that they OPENLY pined for the days before federal recognition because they would rather no one benefit from anything than equitably include Black people.
Not to be carceral but the rise of the word disconnected was because non-Black folks wanted a "get out of jail free" card for racism. Rather than account for the racism (.:sigh:. colorism at times) no one can say we did anything wrong if we argue Black people aren't supposed to be here.
There are people who will argue the word disconnected was meant for tribal citizens who espoused right wing political views and demonstrated low participation in cultural life like the Cherokee Gov. of OK.
Anyways once the conversation established that many non-Black racialized Natives were also unapologetically ✌🏾urban✌🏾 a sadness befell the land. Some even sat in sweat and prayed on it. The racists knew they needed a new word to protect the integrity of their beloved community.
A lot of tribes cannot employ or house everyone. Sometimes an individual might have goals or ambitions that are not best supported locally. It's a thing.
The only reason people got away from it was because there are many non-Black racialized Natives that also live in cities. There are Urban Indian centers and community and kinship networks.
I was called ✌🏾urban✌🏾 even when I was hanging out by my berry spots in rural NH and MA.

Somehow I just brought that ✌🏾urban✌🏾flair with me in whatever I did.

I understood that it was a racist dog whistle.
I personally didn't find it offensive because my tribal parent grew up in city projects 90 miles from trust lands within traditional territory and in a kinship system, with no generational skips of residency since time immemorial. I grew up in enlisted housing mostly apartments.
In the aughts they were calling a lot of Black Natives urban.

Apparently some folks are playing real dumb about skull symbols so let’s play a little game I like to call “Nazi skull or not a Nazi skull”

First up, the Jolly Roger. This is a pirate skull, not a Nazi skull. It means you might get robbed, but prolly not genocided.

With me so far? 1/x
