I’d like to get back to my fighting game project but it’s gonna require cleaning things up and Fixing things tediously so I haven’t. Even if I do get everything cleaned up I don’t think I’d ever be able to do like, netcode, or control binding. It’s all so much.

I always find it interesting when people can mash through a fighting game’s arcade mode and then say with authority that the game is shallow. How on Earth would you know?

I listened to a biography of FDR recently and the throughline of his first 2 terms is that he was boldly against monied interests in word and deed and the American people fucking loved him to death for it*

playing fighters megamix for the sonic the fighters article, and it really strikes me how much of the visual flair of stf is lost for bean and bark here, losing the eye-tracking and more varied face / eye expressions takes a *lot* away!
