“mass deportation” trauma from this era is going to be a scar that’s with us for a long time
“With immigration agents under intense pressure to deport thousands of people each day, Ms. Lopez was pushed through the system swiftly and was deported within four days of the factory raid.
As a result, Jorge is now cared for by two siblings who are barely adults themselves.”

It's like hide-and-seek with these boat strike announcements. They began on Trump's TruthSocial. Then Hegseth's official "Secretary of War" account took over. Now, it's SOUTHCOM making the announcement -- which was shared by Hegseth's private X account.
SecDef reposting a video of another lethal and lawless maritime strike, this one from 10 November.

Once again, the "designated terrorist organization", the alleged narcotics, and alleged "narco-terrorists" are all unidentified.

No indication of armed conflict or of any lawful target.

One senior defense official blasted the opinion. “I don’t know what’s more insane – that the ‘President of Peace’ is starting an illegal war or that he’s giving a get out of jail free card to the U.S. military,” said the official. theintercept.com/2025/11/14/b...

The BU College Republicans guy who called ICE on car wash workers bc they are “stealing jobs from Americans” was born and raised in … another country.
Zac Segal, Boston U runner and Young Republican alerted ICE to a car wash in Allston MA which had immigrants working - he said they were taking US jobs. ICE raided the car wash. All detained had legal status according to their lawyer.

Segal was born and schooled in London. 🙄
Student Republican who called ICE on car wash faces backlash
An attorney for those detained said, "Is he taking a college seat away from an American since he's from London?"

In normal times, it would be a major scandal for the President to direct his AG to criminally investigate his political opponents to deflect from his own involvement in a major scandal — and for the AG to immediately announce she is doing it. The Epstein scandal and cover up just got even bigger.

This is big: elected Republicans in a deep-red state saying NO to Trump even after his personal plea.

The balance is shifting - and we have to keep up the pressure everywhere.
Indiana likely will not push forward with redistricting despite pressure from White House
It’s a massive blow to the White House’s efforts to shore up a Republican House majority next year.

emerging reports about possibly imminent US military attack on venezuela. there can be no doubt about it, certainly not in the coverage: such an attack would be an act of aggression, lacking any basis in international law. we'll get sophistic arguments about self-defense but none will be legit.

The question about whether or not U.S. broadcasters are going to be manipulated by this administration is no longer hypothetical. And now we have a country run by "the greatest champion for sports of any president in American history" that's about to host the world's most-watched megaevents

Using an NFL game to so blatantly spew propaganda sets a very chilling precedent right as the country is set to broadcast the world's biggest sporting events
