We're gonna win. It may take blood, sweat and tears, but we're gonna win.
A huge night for Democrats:

—They flip Miami's mayorship.
—They flip a state House district in Georgia that had voted Trump by 13%.
—They keep Albuquerque's mayorship, while the liberal faction flips city council.
—And they get big overperformances (+18 & +22) in 2 Florida specials.

okay so the second and arguably even funnier part of this story is: so my dad was a university president, right? And there’s another university in that town. heated sports rivals, etc, etc, you know how it is
One time the local Staples (office supply store) went out of business and had a liquidation sale and my sister’s boyfriend and a couple of his friends went and bought about a thousand boxes of post it notes for 10 bucks total and six months later they did this to my dads office

I'm bad at spotting the technical tells of AI video, but the narrative/structural tells are pretty consistent. Here are the story-shapes that should cause you to scrutinize videos more closely:

The question of technology changes is an urgent one, but even when technology stays compatible, electronic documents can be problematic. What happens to your ebook account when you die? You can’t leave your Kindle library to your designated heir. It just evaporates when you die.
At present even 29 years from now can look a bit utopian, as the material forms degrade and the formats obsolesce.
One of the books in my office is 290 years old. It’s still in excellent condition and easy to read. I wonder how easy it’ll be to read electronic texts 290 years from now. I expect it’ll be rather trickier.

Oh HELL yes.
Disabled people were one of the first groups targeted by the Nazis.

They coined the term “useless eaters”.

They tested the gas chambers on us.

They knew most people wouldn’t fight to save our lives.

That’s why the President using the R slur is so dangerous.

These numbers go far to explain the current economic situation for working people. Also laid-off people.
CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1965: 20-1

CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1990: 75-1

CEO-to-worker pay ratio today: 280-to-1

Trickle-down economics was always a sham.

Nothing has ever trickled down.

Happy 193rd birthday, dearest Louisa May Alcott. Your forthright books spoke truth to me from the day my mother put Little Women in my hands, saying, “This book is about 4 little girls just like you and your sisters.” It didn’t hurt that I, like Jo March, was the 2nd of 4 girls and wanted to write.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺
