The foreign-born fraction of the US population was 15% in 1890, and in 1910. America thrived.

That fraction is 16% now.

The difference is that in 1890/1910, >96% of immigrants were from Europe or Canada. Today that's less than 10%.

It's best to be honest about one one is actually afraid of.
Rep. Kat Cammarck: "Today, one in six people in the US is foreign born. That quite frankly is not sustainable to maintain a culture that we are known for here in the United States."

The party of free speech
The University of Alabama on Monday suspended two student magazines — one appealing to women, another to Black students — saying they ran afoul of guidance from the Justice Department on DEI programs.

Convicted of abetting the trafficking of 400 TONS of cocaine into the US!

What's the going rate to buy a Trump pardon? A few million dollars of Trump Coin?

It makes no sense to me either. But we must trust that Trump always has a plan. There is no Trump but Trump and Don Jr is his messenger.
Markwayne Mullin defends Trump pardoning Honduran president who was convicted of drug trafficking: "What the president is doing is always calculated. I haven't had a direct conversation with the president about it, but I do trust his natural reaction and his approach to foreign affairs."

Would the Supreme Court rule that taking a bribe for a pardon was an "official act" by the president and immune from prosecution? I'm serious. If Trump announced he was selling pardons for $1M a pop, could anyone do anything about it, short of impeachment? (Which carries no prison sentence.)

It’s wrong to lump all top Trump people in one category. There are differences among them. But they do seem to fall into three (sometimes overlapping) categories:

• Ordinary criminals (grift and corruption).

• Sex criminals.

• War criminals.

Honestly, no officer should need advice to decide if "kill these guys flailing around in the water" is a legal order
My understanding is that, at the height of the "drone war on terror" that when the military officer thought the legality of a particular strike was legally dubious, they'd have a CIA guy actually "pull the trigger". I wonder if that is happening in our current "War on Fishing Boats"?

It’s clear that the primary interest of the US in “peace negotiations” is to create opportunities for Trump, Witkoff, their family members, business partners and cronies to make billions from business deals with Russia, and Ukraine is just the annoying nuisance in the way.

No one should be surprised by the corruption of this administration, but damn.

This would be a war crime even if there were an actual war and these people were actual combatants, which there isn't and they weren't.

It's unquestionably an unlawful homicide under any form of law you wish to apply: military or civilian, domestic or international, federal or state. ...

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

If Benghazi was treated as a colossal scandal over security decisions far below Clinton’s level, then Trump absolutely deserves full responsibility for deploying the N. Guard into DC for a threat he fabricated.

Trump’s decision directly put those troops in harm's way for absolutely zero reason.

To replace income taxes with tariffs, you’d have to raise tariff rates to levels that would effectively eliminate international trade, and thus the tariff revenue would plummet to near zero.
