the lack of boosting black positivity or just interacting with black art is upsetting. black art, people, and characters aren't viewed in the same desirability as white characters.

Most queer Whitefolk don’t face the same reputational stakes—they are not forced to represent their entire community as often as we are.

An exception is White trans women, but given that that is still not as historically a stigmatized social role as “Black woman” this does not impact them the same.

Most queer Whitefolk don’t have the same legacies of intergenerational trauma that resulted in the collectivizing that Black/Brown folks have achieved.

The state has not as systemically punished them as a group like it has us, so we have built a culture of disciplined coordination and mutual aid.
