We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

As for Suzu, I think she'd like a dachshund. Between the stress of being a healer and how much effort she puts into research, something small and cute that's a bit easier to care for sounds like a good fit. 🧵(2/2)

Isuka would want a gentle giant that would be content laying nearby while she works on crafts that's also really fluffy and good to curl up with, so I imagine her having a malamute.

Light poisoning was probably the lowest point in Isuka's life, even more so than losing Haurchefant. Her whole life had been defined by being able to travel wherever the wind took her and defend those she loved. Being trapped in bed and becoming a burden to everyone broke her. 🧵(1/6)

Isuka likes returning to her family in the Azim Steppe, but between the chores and all the people it isn't usually the most relaxing homecoming. When she needs quiet time away she often prefers her 2nd home, visiting Edmont in Fortemps manor and catching him up on her adventures

Isuka will either chip away at a current crafting project until she gets tired or make something to eat and hope a food coma takes her.

Suzu will pick something to read if she's alone or... work off some energy if she's not.
