For Lkhagvasuren, it's the aftermath of the Bloody Banquet.

Unlike canon where "the scions did it" comes out of left field with little to justify it, Lkhagvasuren's status as a half-Garlean is uncovered, and used to paint a conspiracy with her as a Garlean agent corrupting the Scions from within ⬇️

Not only is the new Dissidia a mobile game but they also decided to make every character look like a KH character, I love the comment section on YT literally telling them what we actually want, I did my part and downvoted the trailer already, crock of shite that is 😹

I don't think it's clumsy, I think it's always fun to see people integrate old "internet usernames" into the past/lore of characters, especially when the name change is spun into a change for that character

It's a neat sort of "proof" in a way, of how a character has evolved and come into their own

When rumor reaches her that the others did get into Ishgard though, she forces herself to pack up and head north

Everything she's been bottling up since the start of ARR just boils out of her at once, to the point where she even finally reveals why she hates Coerthas/Ishgard: The deaths of her family.

She has an utterly explosive crash out, primarily directed at Alphinaud (who she punches), but also directed to no small degree at her friends, voicing all her resentment at every time she had to bite her tongue when something was ⬇️

something of a mentor to Lkhagvasuren when she first started out as an adventurer, also makes the betrayal especially raw.

The sheer publicity of how her heritage is exposed also causes her to immediately becomes paranoid about the idea that lying low with Drusilla and the Lemures could risk ⬇️

hard to outright dismiss the possibility that she must have some degree of connection to the Reapers, and some kind of secretive Garlean presence in Eorzea. Something that causes Ilberd to actually start believing the fake conspiracy theory he and Teledji were concocting.

The worst part is that between how secretive she is about her work with the Lemures, her increasing use of Reaper arts and voidsent when thrown into desperate situations, and just how cagey she is about her past beyond scant details that she spent her early childhood in Imperial territory, it's ⬇️
