grrraaaa dude. that time I spent doing a modded install of skyrim for my steam deck proved I think I'll enjoy the switch over. i spent a good few hundred hours on that install. maybe my best skyrim experience to date.

anyway just found out my state offers tuition free college for 25+ year olds so… i think i’m going to probably do that. even if it takes me awhile to finish, i really am tired of retail. i want to work in a field where i am actually helping people and not bullshitting them

thinking about that loser who’s confessional after getting voted out of Survivor was spent complaining about how “even if he won the million, Obama would tax it down to 600k anyway” and it just struck me because like. I think 600k is still life changing to most people.

the truth is before gAI we've been using AI scripts to automate repetitive or inefficient tasks just fine for decades, gAI makes those same tasks absolutely impossible or dangerous to do. it basically rendered decades of technology unusable. and it kills the planet and ruins economies as it does it.

maybe this is the finally time to say but if I win the powerball I should absolutely pay tax on it. why should i feel guilty about something as fundamental as taxes? even if that got taxed way down to 1 million. why is that bad? that's life changing money both for me and for my society.
