It has been dumbfounding to see unregulated 'gambling' embraced as the prime mechanism of economic growth. It is muddying any moral clarity and is certain to end badly.

Eating on demand, largely for entertainment, is simply unsustainable. A move toward conscious eating (to sustain health by prioritizing maximum freshness and nutrient availability) could help ensure reliable food availability in the future.

In 2026, the president plans to launch “TrumpRx,” a site that plans to promote low-cost prescription drugs. But it’s just another of Trump’s overhyped shams that won’t help the majority of consumers. From @ddayen.bsky.social:

‘TrumpRx’ Is Another Pretend Solution for High Drug Prices
The proposed government website will just refer people to the drug companies, which use direct-to-consumer pricing to distract from continued high profits.

US farmers are saying they "just need temporary help, until things get better."

Here's the thing. US farm exports- which are mostly soy- CANNOT get better.

Other countries expanded their soy industries to fill China's demand.

We've walled ourselves out of the global market, folks. This is it.

You are using it that way because a startrek episode (TNG S2E9: "The measure of a man") had a writing error and idiot nerds parroted it to sound smart
