Central Wyoming birders are atwitter over recent sightings of two great gray owls in Fremont County. Though the large raptors primarily inhabit more mountainous territory in northern portions of the state, they expand their range significantly during the winter, an owl researcher said.

What was widely interpreted as a $58-million budget cut to tribal health services was actually an accounting maneuver, the chairman of Wyoming's budgeting committee said. The news was met with relief.
