We're half a decade into studies finding that improving airflow in classrooms will reduce disease transmission enormously, and that bleaching surfaces etc. does very little. And yet nothing changes. Waves of flu and colds wash over schools, and the schools pretend it's an act of God.

I've had similar concerns about Norman Regional in Norman, OK. The city is part owner of the hospital, and has refused to let other hospitals into the city citing "Certificate of Need" concerns. Family members have had several bad experiences at NRH.

The five-part series, “Sick in a Hospital Town,” pursues one question: Why are people in Albany so sick when its most powerful institution is a hospital?

For comparison, every robotic mission NASA has ever sent in its history, from the dawn of the Space Age 65 years ago to today, from Mercury to Pluto and beyond, has cost less than $40B.

I know which one has done more for humankind and which one should be dismantled.

Turhan Bey was the Centauri Emperor in a Season 2 episode of #Babylon5. The Emporer was originally supposed to be unnamed, but he was eventually given the name "Emperor Turhan." He was loved by the entire cast and appeared as a Minbari in Season 5.
