This popped up in my notifications & shortly after Supt. Fields stated they won’t force local schools to incorporate the Bible into the curriculum, as the previous guy ordered (thus the lawsuit). This is a win for common sense, local control, & it saves taxpayer dollars! 👏👏👏

I’m just as concerned as y’all that the Regime fired most federal IDEA (Special Needs) staff. But we’ve discovered IDEA funding didn’t stop. OSDE’s Special Ed office is still responsible for enforcing it here in Oklahoma. Watching! 👀

Great to see some amazing public ed warriors at the Cap today, including my buddy grumpy ol’ Mark McBride (a little less grumpy now that he’s out of the Legislature 😊). He’s still fired up about how many in his own party ignored Ryan Walters & hiding incompetence & waste of taxpayer 💵 & so am I! 👏👏👏

The data is in! The Standardized Era has failed. While the focus is on data (standardized test scores), many states (like OK) invest in products/private school vouchers over people. The focus must be on the whole child or we’ll keep losing qualified teachers, which is a blueprint for more failure.

People I’ve agreed with lately: Ted Cruz (1st amendment), Trump (idiots in charge of 🇺🇸), MTG (release the Epstein files + GOP ignoring healthcare costs), & now…Gov. Stitt (states shouldn’t send Guard troops elsewhere without permission).

I’ve been tuned in online to the first State Board of Education meeting since Voldemort resigned, and my first impression: It looks and sounds like an actual State Board of Education meeting! The main difference is the professionalism, the collegiality, and y’all…the windows! Let there be light!! ☀️

I’m hosting a bipartisan study on Managed Care in Oklahoma (with Rep. Tim Turner), from both the provider & patient perspective at the Cap this Monday. It starts at 1:30 & it is open to the public. I’ve heard from many mental health providers about ongoing issues, so it’s time to dig in & listen!
