I wear a mask because I’m chronically ill & don’t want to become iller. I don’t expect everyone to mask all the time. But I do think that if people wore masks when they have a cough/cold, as a courtesy, that would be nice. And also reduce the chance of your gran catching a bug that lands her in A&E.

Really seems like the bare minimum, doesn't it?
DAUK is calling for urgent, practical steps to protect staff and patients:

✅ FFP2 and FFP3 masks for frontline healthcare workers

✅ Free flu and Covid vaccinations for healthcare workers who want them

✅ Implementation of clean air standards (HEPA/Ventilation)

Yup - viruses kill but before they kill you you can spend 40years being unable to move, exercise, have children, keep your career, and you can watch your family fall apart. All because you wouldn’t wear a mask?

it is a short (under 200 pages!) book about the current information crisis that we're living through and comparing it to what happened after the invention of printing and after the invention of writing.

tl;dr, it feels like everyone's going bananas! and we lose respect for other humans!

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

What intrigues me about this is: what were the songs? Were Hitler Youth / Nazi songs well-known in the UK at that time? Did Farage come from a background that secretly played Hitler music? Were they singing in German? I'm not quibbling or being sarky: I'm genuinely interested.
Reform say it is "disgusting and libellous" to suggest that Nigel Farage flirted with Hitler Youth when he was young.

Here's how a former teacher at his school remembers it

Argh, I just found an earwig climbing up my neck, perilously close to my ear & I know the internet says they don’t particularly want to go in there, but I think this one did. Also, I have two past experiences (a ladybird & a fly using me as an Ear BnB) that tell me this happens!
