This is worth a read, although I’d argue that in the case of many AV laws passed in the US, the consequences are very much expected.

Once they drive most of the traffic to noncompliant porn sites that have zero content moderation, the GOP will use that to argue that all porn should be illegal.
New: I looked at 90 porn sites to test the new age-verification law rewriting the web. The ones following the rules, and scanning visitors' faces, are crumbling, while the lawbreakers are doubling or tripling their traffic. One of many unintended consequences for an experimental tech wapo.st/47QuttW
‘Scan your face’ laws for the web are having unexpected consequences
The new age-verification laws in the United States and United Kingdom have brought some surprising downsides, including soaring traffic to seedy parts of the web.

Blind box opening followed by 🌶️ content? Sounds fun!
Hot tip for my liberal lovelies: if your rideshare driver is asking if you're married, proselytizing, or playing music you find offensive, try this script: "Oh I'm so sorry, I have a work email that came up! Can you please cut the radio/stop the convo, etc? Thank you!" Peaceful ride achieved.
Omg my Lyft driver is playing mysogonystic Christian country. I want to puke/d**
"She don't she's beautiful" is the chorus of the current selection

I introduced him to my favorite tourist trip, he introduced me to the best meal I've ever had in my home Chicago. Thank you so much for a truly magical pair of days. I so cherish our co-creations ✨
A friendship that spans the country! So many precious moments in Chicago, Seattle, and now Boston with Bostonian turned Chicagoan @lennonwren.com. Thank you for such a beautiful day together exploring your old stomping grounds!
Understanding this doesn't apply to every follower: Many folks have shared in person that they followed me for a year or more to get a sense of who I am. These are folks looking for very long term connections to invest in. Others have followed me for a long time until our paths would cross.
I can't speak to the AI photos. But every time I see a guy demanding that we, the individuals with the highest risk burden in this interaction, expose ourselves more than our personal boundaries, I think "Oh, no! I guess I'll have to wipe my tears with my piles of cash on the way to the bank." 🙄

Ugh, lawmakers in the US are “taking a hard look” at VPNs because of the gigantic flop of the UK age verification roll out. This means our privacy online is EVEN MORE endangered, unless we speak up!

AI vegan here, so you can probably guess my answer. As to why, I'm seeing a set up similar to Mass Effect's concept of guided evolution, except the Citadel = our Tech Bros.

I value my own research, my own thoughts, diversity in general. Early research suggest that AI use blunts all three.
Who doesn't love a little dessert after a leisurely lunch? Thank you so much for bringing @audreydavis.bsky.social and I together for a most delectable afternoon! 🫦
Right?? I've thought about emailing them and pointing out that if I'm underage now, that implicates them in allowing a ~2 year old to open a profile back in ~'08. 🫢
3) Takes looming Q day seriously, and plans security appropriately

4) Any other privacy/security related issues above my pay grade. Basically, advertising shouldn't ask us to cannibalize our safety and discretion in the process, especially when it can be handed over to state actors or become leaked
1) Doesn't make me give up my ID/face/first born child when I can clearly prove that I've been active so long that there's no way I'm a minor. Not exactly a feature, but it's definitely the non-starter hurdle that prevents me from playing ball with today's ad sites.

2) takes Monero/privacy coins
Literally and euphemistically-yes! 💯
Man, it's hard to keep up in a world class city! Chicago has so many incredible things going on all the time, that I feel like I catch 99.9% of them in the rear view mirror. 😭😅
So excited! Chicago is in for such a treat ❤️‍🔥
