Jack Smith wants to testify in public - Republicans refuse.

He wants his depo tape made public - no again.

The second strike boat video? - nope.

Epstein files law complied with? - not today.

Breaking:

Rep. Ro Khanna says the Trump DOJ's production "does not comply with" the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Khanna says he and Rep. Thomas Massie "are exploring all options" — including impeachment of DOJ officials, inherent contempt, or referring individuals for obstruction of justice.

this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will

From this point on, I'm forced to assume that every elected politician who does not immediately call for Trump's impeachment is in the Epstein files. Sorry. Just cutting the Gordian knot here, as one does during societal collapse.

The headline has to be "Justice Department released Epstein files but illegally redacts 'politically exposed individuals'," right?

Like surely they can't just ignore the law, redact their friends, and get away with it because news agencies will pretend the crystal-clear law is unclear?

Gonna stop looking at the Epstein Files in a second because I'm frankly way too skeeved out to keep going but I will say this: the CSAM isn't blacked out nearly enough while the faces of guys in ties are obscured by vanta black rectangles the size of the sun.

NB: When I, a professor of law, profess that an act is unlawful, I am not doing it to inform the lawbreaker, but rather to inform you, the reader.

So the question “what, like you think he cares?” is inapposite. The question is whether *you* care. I think you should, which is why I bother.

AOC: Oh, hell no. It was a joke. This was not a serious intelligence briefing. This was the communication of an opinion.

There should be a constitutional mechanism for removing a president. Not impeachment, something that actually works, maybe like a catapult

How terminally unaware do you have to be to think that the GOP would ever do anything to address the cost of living? Have none of these red and purple dot people been paying attention during the last decade?
"Who would do a better job addressing the rising cost of living?"

🔵 DEM: 40%
🔴 GOP: 36%

🟣 About the same: 15%
