went to a really cozy board games cafe on Thursday after a day of touristing and played Carcassonne against myself.

observations:

* the game wiki is very detailed and well explained, there's competitions, mods and various house rules; germans don't fuck about

* might be... a perfect game

was at a games museum and it made me reflect on serious games being a big term 10-ish years ago...

and about how the trajectory of game publications + quantity of games being made means it's really hard to feel like you've got a bird's eye view on what games really did sumn + pushed the medium...
