People who can't work well with other people are bad coworkers full-stop EVEN IF they excel at their particular craft. Most industries require some sort of collaboration, gamedev especially. You will chase far more good people away keeping your one bad one.
I truly can't stress this enough: No one's art is good enough to justify them being miserable to work with. Almost everyone I've worked with has been wonderful, but the handful of folks that weren't brought the whole team down by being egotistical, sexist, condescending, etc.

I’m usually pretty zen about where people draw the line on what they support, but Spotify sucks in so many ways. They pay artists peanuts, push AI generated music and are running ICE ads. You could buy mp3s and CDs and could have music you own and can listen to offline without paying monthly.

Unearth progress!! Here's where I'm at with 2 weeks of focus on bringing Geena's core moveset up to par with the GameMaker version of the game (and then improving beyond it imo). I've made a wide variety of tweaks to how she feels to control and I'm pretty happy with where things are right now.

The PS2 truly is the best console ever because it is constantly becoming more powerful. Each time we say something "looks like a PS2 game" we're talking about a game of a higher fidelity than the last. What the PS2 is capable of in 2025 is so far beyond what it was capable of in 2003. i am working at 11pm not because I have to, but because doing things like "adding a slight wall touch buffer so if the player dismounts from the wall just before walljumping due to trying to preempt their movement, the jump no longer gets eaten" brings me pure, genuine joy

If you didn’t know, Alaska has been hit by a massive storm, causing severe flooding. Many Indigenous villages have been completely wiped out, with some houses floating away with PEOPLE INSIDE THEM. Please keep posting to spread the info. They need help.
These are mostly indigenous communities in Alaska that have been slammed by the storm.
The local manager of a small airline fleet says he is the only one doing evacuations right now!
