Im honestly not willing to even consider this acceptable as our life expectancy. We deserve to live well into our 80s and beyond.

Our life expectancy is 71.

71 means 35 is your midlife.

Get to being intentionally proactive about your health if you haven't been.

We deserve better but we must also be better.

I've started. It's not easy, but it's worthwhile. I need to do more of it now.

I've started to make a few days of exercise non-negotiable. There was initial pushback, but after a while, everyone stfu and accepted it.

I'm outraged but at the same time, the world don't stop. I need to lose a lot of weight, but I'm in a sedentary job, got family responsibilities etc. So by the time I get to taking care of me, well, time is short.

it's hard to move from anger -> sadness -> sustained long term changes.

One day we'll have some kind of studies to see the effect of social media on everyone. I was trying to have a good day and I switch back to this tab and boom, one of your favorite musicians are dead and they're basically your age.

And you're supposed to just go about your day like nothing happened
