smacking my forehead because it’s so obvious
the reason everyone hates bsky’s vibe is because we’ve all forgotten what it’s like to spend all day on forums where we despise 80% of the people we talk to, but would cut off our own leg and roast it to feed one of the other 20%

Kirby Air Riders is the most video game I have ever played. What kind of game is it, you ask? The answer is yes.

“Veritas” is the single best intro to Star Trek I can think of. It makes an amazing case for Lower Decks as a show and the franchise as a whole, but also just stands on its own as a funny episode of a cartoon.
i can’t believe people were trying to dissuade me from starting trek with lower decks because i “wouldn’t understand the references” as if it isn’t super accessible on its own with incredible joke density that all land perfectly on the merit of excellent characterization and absurd plot lmfao

Telling Christians they’re not allowed to pray somewhere is basically installing a giant “FREE MARTYRDOM” sign. It may as well be a pit with lions in it.

If you’re weird like me and enjoy grindy gacha nonsense but hate the business model, might I suggest Dandy Dungeon? The Switch version is on sale and is rebalanced to be a regular game that still hits that sweet spot of mobile grind. It’s also VERY silly.
Dandy Dungeon - Legend of Brave Yamada - for Nintendo Switch - Nintendo Official Site
Buy Dandy Dungeon - Legend of Brave Yamada - and shop other great Nintendo products online at the official My Nintendo Store.

I’m re-reading the Oz books and their best quality remains the matter-of-fact tone Baum uses to describe his unhinged nightmare world. He’ll discuss a furry, five-eyed, ten-limbed rhinocerous as though it’s a screwdriver he found at the hardware store.

What if instead of having billionaires we put up a big leaderboard of who pays the most taxes and once a year we carry the winner around in a parade like Quasimodo

Not seeing much on my timeline about it anymore, so here's a reminder: payment processors are still trying to censor NSFW content of all kinds, and are in fact getting more aggressive about it; I'm seeing stories of folks losing access every day

Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.” - Luke 6:32
I mean yes, there is such a concept in Christianity. It appears quite notably in the letters of Paul, for instance, where it’s a concept he *relentlessly* argues against, and in the Gospel where it’s a concept Jesus very much repeatedly scorns. So it is technically in there!

Glad to see a politician treating trans people like constituents rather than awkward political footballs.
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera
In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.
As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.
