If you’re talking about Gretchen Felker-Martin’s Red Hood comic being axed, I’m fairly confident Gunn has literally no say in that.

He’s in charge of the moviemaking, I don’t think he really has a voice when it comes to DC comics. If anyone has evidence to the contrary, I’d hear it out of course.

I actually put off playing it for a long time because of how intensely the usual audience seemed to hate it.

When I finally gave it a go, I was pleasantly surprised!

Yeah, the narrative sucked, but like, it’s a Borderlands game, whatever. The gunplay and movement are the best in the series by far.

When we started Defector, we set out to make a sustainable business out of providing people things to read during their workday. Thanks to the efforts of my colleagues and the support of our subscribers, we have achieved that goal. It didn’t even take that long to find ourselves standing on solid ground. The simplicity of all this has had something of a deprogramming effect on me. I got into this business during the hothouse days of the 2010s, when it was taken for granted that the true purpose of every media company was to achieve a nine-figure valuation. The collapse of that industry demanded a new way of thinking about what a media company can and should be, and my hope is that Defector has provided a useful example of just one way of doing things.

Has anyone played Overwatch 2 on the Switch 2? I know it’s like comically bad on the original Switch but I have a hankering to play some OW while I’m away from home and I want to know if the experience is passable (at least for non-aim intensive heroes like Moira and LW).

SECOND QUARTER 2025 RESULTS

Q2 2025 quarterly revenues increased 9.8% to $352.2 million compared to $320.8 million for Q2 2024.

Income from operations increased 17.2% to $33.5 million compared to $28.6 million for Q2 2024.

Net income (1) decreased to $26.3 million compared to $36.9 million for Q2 2024.

Net income per diluted share (1) decreased to $0.62 in Q2 2025 compared to $0.77 for Q2 2024.

Adjusted EBITDA (2) for the quarter increased 11.8% to $107.7 million compared to $96.3 million for Q2 2024.

Adjusted net income (2) decreased to $51.6 million compared to $53.7 million for Q2 2024.

Adjusted net income per diluted share (1)(2) (or “Adjusted diluted EPS”) for the quarter increased 5.1% to $1.24 compared to $1.18 for Q2 2024.

Net cash provided by operating activities was $57.1 million in Q2 2025 compared to $50.6 million in Q2 2024. Free cash flow (2) was $26.9 million in Q2 2025 compared to $25.1 million in Q2 2024.

Ziff Davis deployed approximately $11.4 million for current and prior year acquisitions during the quarter and $33.9 million related to share repurchases in Q2 2025.

I let my GF blast through MKW and I helped her beat some Grand Prix cups on the hardest CC, but I probably won’t play much otherwise. I love the roster though! Piranha Plant and Bowser Jr are my favs.

The Switch 2 is actually kind of absurdly good for indie gaming… being able to take DK Bananza on the go and then swap right over to something like Cloudpunk or Moonglow Bay at any time feels amazing.

I believe DE removed the Duviri alternate start and moved it back after the Zariman content (maybe? At least after Second Dream) because it (understandably) proved a confusing starting point narratively for new players.

Oh god also just knowing what types of games you help make, I suspect you’ll also love Warframe’s twists and turns. Just avoid spoilers if possible and stick with it through the early game!!! You will KNOW the moment it clicks, and it is FANTASTIC.

The good news is that when it gets optimized for Switch 2, you’ll be able to access your account from both platforms! You can even download it on your phone or tablet or whatever — though I personally wouldn’t play that way, it’s a solid way to grab login rewards.
