Pretty unwell today, in bed until 5pm-ish. Seemingly my cat, Newt, has been sat on the stairs yelling all day for me to keep him company. When i got up he followed me into the lounge, still yelling, went to a corner & protest pissed - barely missing a plug socket. Anyone want a broken cat for Xmas?

In the house on my own w/the cat. For last 20mins he's been sat staring at the open lounge door (the 1 that opened by itself) occasionally mewling then slowly shifting closer to the door & repeating the process so he's now in the doorway, staring up towards the stairs & 'chatting' away at the dark.

38years ago, around 3am, my dad woke me to say goodbye to my mum who had finally let go of her years long battle with multiple cancers. i was newly 16 & never grew older nor had a decent night's sleep again.
it's surreal to think she has now been gone longer than she was here.
