In the midst of another December with our steam radiators on the fritz and feeling very excited to move into our new place with it's central heating and cooling.
If I owned this house, I would feel different about my steam heat, but these amazing old systems don't mesh well with landlordism.

This salad is a forever site (and Deb lunch) favorite, just lightly crushed chickpeas with minced red onion, parsley, lemon juice and zest, enriched with olive oil.

back on my earl grey hot cocoa bullshit:
bring milk+a splash of vanilla+a pinch of salt to a gentle simmer. remove from heat, drop in tea bag. allow to steep for 3-5 mins. remove bag, return to low heat. stir in a spoon of cocoa powder + the chocolate of your choice. whisk until melted. sip!
