Here is a macro photo I took of our last bi-color snapdragon in the front garden. The day was beautifully grey and rainy. Though there was no chance of seeing a tropical sunset, this flower held the might of dusk's glory in its misty face. This scoop of autumn sherbert glows against green peeps of background bokeh. Bending in for a closer look with my camera, I became enchanted by the perfect spheres scattered across its pink-red-orange-yellow petals. Within each crystal ball raindrop, a small universe of color and light. Their augury? My new 3-5-3 haiku:

Snapdragon

Dragon's tongue

Awww! This reminds me of my lace ankle socks. I often open the drawer to get my cozy socks and pass over them. It makes you wonder, if fancy socks had thoughts, would this be how they feel too?
