The #Patriots had 6 snaps at Cincinnati's 1-yard line on that drive and didn't score. Not a single QB sneak, either. Hard to fathom.

If you told me the Celtics lead the league in "shooters open standing in the corners while the ball handler takes it to the rim with one or more defenders waiting" it wouldn't surprise me. The result of an offense built around a 35% usage wing who is not and will never be a natural passer.

Saw the big Celts lead and thought "oh, the Clippers might just be bad." Then I watched the Clippers cut the lead to 5 in the 3rd and remembered "ah that's right the Celtics are also quite bad."

The trouble is the evidence is really, really strong that white people in the northeast are a lot less likely to support the Republican party than white people in the south.

No. I spent plenty of time in the south and the last time I saw a Confederate flag out in the open it was hanging in a window in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Racists in the northeast are not better or less racist.

I'm going to keep saying this all year, but it is very difficult to find a reason to care about this Celtics season. They have nothing to offer. They're not even bad enough to be a fascinating disaster.

i think a big part of what's going on here is we're all getting mad at Democrats for not doing the job we think they're supposed to do when what they think they're doing is the job that they were actually put in place to do by the people that pay them

this seems to be a recurring theme, which makes me feel foolish, but . . . . the shutdown capitulation is the latest lesson that the Democrats are not going to save us. politicians in Washington will not be our salvation.
