The Patriots getting burned following their Plan A is a credit to him, no?

The #Patriots just blitzed once after this, their 7th DB blitz of the game and 10th overall.

It was the Saints' last offensive snap, a deep third-down incompletion.

The #Patriots didn't think Rattler sees pressure well, so they blitzed on 50% of his dropbacks in the 1st half but got burned (16 points, 5.9 ypp).

Then they didn't blitz in the 3rd quarter, waited to heat Rattler up on a DB blitz (their 6th to that point) for a big 4th-quarter sack on 3rd down.

It's a good question. Having less faith in him and more faith in Marcus than public consensus is probably the answer. Not forever, just where they are right now, with Gonzo 3 games back from injury

This is the fine art of play-calling. Sticking to what you know from 6 days of prep, but adapting to how the game has declared.

The #Patriots didn't let up entirely on their plan to send disguised DB blitzes at Rattler, but enough to come back to it on a critical down. Nice call.

Marcus Jones keeping up in man-to-man over *2* pick routes and diving right when Chris Olave shoots his hands to prevent a TD catch.

Baller.

Think I'm ready to move on from calling Khyris Tonga underrated, and just describe him for what he is: good.

I didn't say he a broke a rule or committed a penalty. He tipped his assignment

The Pats have a myriad of small issues in the run game, but stuff like this can and has to be fixed.

LG Jared Wilson is pulling here, and gives it away with his stance. Look how far back he is. Godchaux seemingly points it out, and the Saints get a 3-yard loss.

Rhamondre Stevenson received a bad pass-blocking grade from PFF, but I'm sorry he did a lot of good in his 7 snaps there, including a stunt he passed off with Will Campbell.

Like PFF, I had Stevenson down for 1 hurry allowed (on a decent cut block no less). Other than that, 👍.

In most other universes, this is a strip sack.

But Drake Maye lives in this one, so it's a 9-yard gain.

No letdown after a big win. No playing down to a bad opponent. No grumbling about godawful officiating.

All Mike Vrabel's #Patriots did Sunday was pass another test as rising playoff contenders. Column: www.bostonherald.com/2025/10/12/c...

According the article, the Everett Police still have not told the parents why they arrested their 13-year-old child, nor why they handed him over to ICE while his parents waited in the station to pick him up.

ICE kidnapped a 7th-grader with a pending asylum claim and spirited him out of state without notifying his parents, seemingly with the cooperation of the local police in Everett, MA.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

One area Josh McDaniels will have some play-calling regret: 1st-down runs.

Rushing on 1st down had a 29% success rate against the Saints, while 1st-down passes had an 80% success rate. McDaniels called mostly runs and finished the game with 5 straight 1st-down runs.
