This is really good. Actual numbers.
This is an insightful but deeply upsetting article about why everyone in the US feels poor, and why the current political situation emerges as a direct result.

"The past decade has been a gloomy lesson in how limited a proportion of men actually see women as equal human beings."

Really makes me sad

I guess we gotta spend our time with the men who see us as equal. Different, sure, ok. But equal.

Find those guys.
A very good piece. “The fact that many men believe they no longer even have to pretend to respect women in order to participate in public life makes it unlikely that anything will change anytime soon.”

As we enter the FO phase for politicians who supported Drumpf, Dems must hold firm.

MTG can apologize; Tuberville can vote yes on the discharge petition: it is TOO LATE and it DOES NOT MATTER and it is likely a bunch of BS.

To quote CJ Cregg from The West Wing, "they get no milk and cookies."

Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"

This is the message that EVERY Dem needs to be shouting.
It's so easy.
It's so obvious.
It's so true.
It's simple enough that it would break through.
Donald Trump is AGAIN suing to avoid sending food to hungry children and seniors.

The Democratic Party should be in every major city and small rural area running food drives and registering people to vote right now.

But they wont. Because “at least we’re not Trump” doesnt require any thoughts or demands. It’s just “shut up and vote for us.”

And that is a losing strategy

It may be that the ethos of the Repub Party (freedom = get out of my way, and regulation = hardship) is incompatible with the idea of political SERVICE, which is doing what is best for others (those who elected you). The lust for power is shared by Rs and Ds, but the idea of service is different.
