Apparently this has been confirmed: Wade Christofferson—the brother of Elder D. Todd Christofferson—is accused of sexually assaulting 7 victims over a period of many years. Many of these allegedly occurred after he faced church disciplinart action.

The LDS church under Dallin Oaks lowered the age of eligibility for sister missionaries from 19 to 18. I do not think it is a coincidence Oaks frequently preaches on pro-natalism and not delaying marriage or childbearing.

Based on the synopsis and the image, I was surprised to discover in the story that this was not an LDS church. Alas, it is all too common an LDS story.
The leaders of a church community in Duluth enabled a child abuser for years by encouraging his victims to “forgive and forget” his sins — and never speak of them again.
Young girls were sexually abused by a Duluth church member. They were told to forgive and forget.
In Minnesota, leaders of an Old Apostolic Lutheran Church community enabled a child abuser by telling his victims that once the sins were “washed away,” they could never speak of them again.
