I used to say this trial was a waste of taxpayer dollars, but I think it’s totally worth it.
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

Dave Breger's "Private Breger" (also titled "Private Breger Abroad") first appeared on October 19, 1942. Breger had been producing cartoons while in the military (devising the title "GI Joe" in the process), and he also produced "Private Breger" for newspapers.
