In 1950, Jules Feiffer provided CLIFFORD to the back page of Will Eisner's SPIRIT newspaper booklets. (Clifford - and Feiffer - appeared in an actual SPIRIT story, reprinted in Vol. 21 of DC's SPIRIT ARCHIVES.)

Comics Street Cred: Marvel’s COMIC CAPERS #6 (1946) featured Silly Seal and Ziggy Pig. It was dated Fall, but the candy canes on my dress put the photo closer to Christmas. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Celebrities at the 2003 Friends of Old Time Radio convention included comics-connected Will Hutchins and Hal Stone. Hutchins played Sugarfoot on TV, but he also played Dagwood Bumstead on TV's BLONDIE show. Did you know Stone played Jughead on the radio show THE ADVENTURES OF ARCHIE ANDREWS?

Wiki says David Kyle may have published the first comics fanzine. The science-fiction pioneer was active in club, fanzine, convention, and publishing activities (including Gnome Press). Here he is at the 2004 WorldCon in a photo @thompsonval.bsky.social found in My Stuff.

I'm not sure of the details of this photo @thompsonval.bsky.social found. It's from a department-store event (Higbee's in Cleveland?) in which Jan and Stan Berenstain drew their bears for fans.
