I play games and collect random stuff. Sidlink and Revalink brain rotted. Sometimes political. Somehow made it to 31, my poor bones are turning to dust. Varms, The_Varment, or TheVarmArt

Trump isn’t even trying to hide the fact that the DOJ is completely politicized and the rule of law no longer applies federally

Our federal tax dollars are being used to fund a network of government social media accounts that pump out disinformation 24/7. Even during a government shutdown. It’s definitely not essential work.

In New Jersey a bill has been introduced to make sure data centers pay for electricity they use. This power surcharge would go toward modernizing the state’s electric grid.

Recall that Trump's father was the child of immigrants, and that his mother and two of his wives were immigrants.
Trump on immigrants: "They send up their worst people. They send up people that are criminals. They send up people from jails. And the best ones they send are people that don't work very hard and that are on a social form of welfare."

Mike Johnson on No Kings: "We refer to it by its more accurate description -- the Hate America Rally. You're gonna bring together the Marxists, the socialists, the antifa advocates, the anarchists, and the pro-Hamas wing of the far left Democrat Party. That is the modern Democratic Party."

A reminder that Rep Adam Smith is a national security Dem, very by-the-book, not given to incendiary rhetoric. But here he's stating flat out that Trump officials have given NO MEANINGFUL INFORMATION WHATSOEVER to lawmakers about Trump's ongoing extrajudicial murders:
Rep. Adam Smith to @gregsargent.bsky.social: "All they’ve said is, these people are part of a drug-running gang and we killed them ... I’ve never been in a situation like this where there has been less information provided to Congress on the details."

3. Understand that Ai has practical uses, like as a diagnostic tool in the medical field, but Instead, It's being violently pushed to replace creative jobs (while being trained with stolen work from those same creatives) It guzzles water, hikes electricity prices and spreads dangerous misinformation
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

SWANSON: If you look at data, the US is losing manufacturing jobs, spending on factory construction is down big, manufacturing is still shrinking as share of the economy. S&P Global estimates that tariffs will cost businesses upwards of $1.2t in 2025 ...

PETER NAVARRO: The economics are wrong
As someone who isn’t a fan of bars, and the possibly loud as hell music they play, I’d love for more places to meet and socialize with people.

The decline of third spaces and hangouts, such as malls, video rental places, arcades & skate parks has been a direct result of the rise of convenience and has also been objectively bad for society as a whole. Its not that everyone HAS to socialize, but having no option to without bars is a failing.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

When a White House press secretary uses dehumanizing language like this - labeling millions of Americans as “terrorists” or “criminals” - it crosses a line that should matter to everyone, regardless of party.

This should never be acceptable from the people who speak for the President of the USA.👇

Remember when this was just “one narco-terrorist boat”? Now it’s multiple strikes, foreign nationals dead, and no oversight. At what point will Congress demand answers from this Administration?
