Challenging momergency this evening. My mom doesn't handle being sick well. Refuses most meds. Doesn't like most doctors/nurses. Got her to the ER, she was adamant that she didn't want me to stay, but also pissed off at me when I didn't stay?

I always feel like a crap daughter in these situations.

In Portland, an ambulance was summoned to the ICE office to treat an injured protester (not clear how he was injured). But when the patient was loaded inside, ICE officers refused to let the ambulance leave and threatened to shoot the ambulance driver: www.wweek.com/news/2025/10...

My dad took the train from Seattle to South Dakota this week, and I'm thoroughly enjoying his texts to me about the experience. He is LOVING it.

It was snowing as they passed thru Glacier National Park, apparently.

PEOPLE! There are LITERAL CBRN EXPERTS on this site who will tell you that the best thing you can do for tear gas or pepper spray is to just flush your eyes and face with water.

Any “home remedy” bullshit is just that: bullshit. It won’t help and can actually make things worse.

We've been told to use "up to 15 min daily" to check emails. So far no word on any firings in DOI though... It's all horrid.
