One of my favourite paintings I have done that so reflects my commute back from teaching a full day to home in #LittleItaly … and I do have giclee prints! That’s me with the big forehead 😉

Another delay on the Eglinton LRT?? What are they doing here? We need more accountability from all levels responsible.

At Yonge & Dundas Jays fans are obeying the pedestrian scramble, as is the custom & returning to sidewalk each light cycle.

It's interesting looking at how a larger 100' frontage might work with a single stair approach, because you're competing directly with ~50 small shoebox units in a typical double loaded building.

Here you would get 30 units at a range of sizes, all corner units, & mostly larger 'family size' flats.
This is brilliant!
The Chicago no kings, and people showed up.

Established in 1871 and spanning 220 km across 13 lines, Turin boasts one of the oldest and longest tram networks in Italy. Having backdropped more than a century of change, from the grandeur of the Savoy monarchy to the rise and fall of the Fiat empire, today it’s experiencing a quiet renaissance.🧵

-A living wage
-Guaranteed healthcare
-The right to join a union
-The right to vote
-The right to choose when, how, and with whom you start a family
-The right for you and your family to live free from gun violence

These are the foundations of real freedom.

The 100 lowest-paying US corporations spent $644B on stock buybacks from 2019 to 2024.

Buybacks artificially boost share prices and inflate CEO pay.

The typical worker at these companies earned $35k last year.

Meanwhile, the average CEO was paid $17.2M

See the problem?

Independent media is so important. 7 million people across the United States showed up at these demonstration walks, which were peaceful. Almost no reporting on this. This is not the report’s fault. This is because media is not independent.

While Turin is known as the “Detroit of Italy”, and home to the largest car manufacturer in the country, there is a tacit understanding its heart is no place for motor vehicles.

The central square in Piazza San Carlo was stripped of parking in 2004, turning it into the main living room of the city.

Canada’s bail and sentencing laws are about to get a lot tougher.

We’re amending the Criminal Code to help keep violent criminals and repeat offenders off our streets, and we’re introducing stronger sentences for auto-theft, organised crime, and home invasion.
