2024 started strong for me but things tapered off. I do believe part of it is a me thing, but I recognize that I have obstacles still to work through, mainly space, time and location/money issues.
I managed to get many of the tools I wanted so I can work on my own things. But it's been rough

Listen to me. Listen. If you're making images that will only be displayed on screens, YOU HAVE TO LET GO. You can calibrate your screens perfectly, but then 25k people will see it on their shitty $50 monitors or cracked phone and its out of your hands. Don't think of it. Achieve enlightenment.

Stuff on my laptop screen always looks WAY more saturated than it does on my tablet where I do my actual work. Meanwhile my phone is somewhere in the middle.

It is what it is and it will always be this way.

This is how I interact with games now. I'm breaking things down as I play them. I've posted about several games I got into here, talking about diff mechanics, ways designs differ, how and when they do and don't work. I fear they sometimes look like angry rants, but I'm just describing the experience

Some days I feel an unreasonably high level of anxiety/dread. It always passes after a few hours. It isn't often, but it's happened enough that I can tell what's going on.

Best way to manage I've found is to focus awareness on it, acknowledge it is nothing, and carry on.

If No Kings has you pumped to fight for democracy, look to economic resistance. What would it look like to have sustained, joyful, organized campaigns that hit them in the pocketbook? Labor strikes, massive boycotts for the holidays? Use capitalism as a tool to bring the regime to its knees.

This is the next big move for The Resistance

I'm a tall short guy. 5'7. So it's weird how many shirts I buy at size L are either short at the waist, or tight around the neck and shoulders.
Ingo XL and sometimes they're too long, or the shirts have no stretch.
I just want to lift my arms without my shirt jumping up😭
