2024 started strong for me but things tapered off. I do believe part of it is a me thing, but I recognize that I have obstacles still to work through, mainly space, time and location/money issues.
I managed to get many of the tools I wanted so I can work on my own things. But it's been rough

Creature design idea: Angels are as black as the darkest regions of space. Their skin designed to withstand God's light. Their mouths are square toothless trumpets. Eyes are two dozen pin prick holes in their heads. They are towering creatures whose footprints create lakes and wide rivers.

Not a fan of buttons that disappear while scrolling. I find it kind of disruptive to have them disappear then reappear like some bad trick. Especially if I need to scroll back to make them appear again. Nope. Don't like it.

Like man, my career only exists in the way that it does now because a production designer was googling "realistic pokemon" and found me. If he could have just had a machine spit that out, I never would have gotten a job. This is a major issue hitting artist discoverability.

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

We've evolved to trust friendly faces telling us things directly, more than we trust print. Slop peddlers exploit this to yammer/read headlines. Reporters can/must elbow them out of the way.

I've definitely been thinking a while about how I could approach making TikToks (bc as much as I hate it, I know I could reach a lot of people there), YouTube videos, Instagram, etc., sharing the kind of information and ideas I do here.

i have said this before but if you are actually interested in influencing people beyond a narrow circle of too-online journalists you will be making direct to camera videos on tiktok, instagram and youtube. if you primarily post on text-based social media then you're just dicking around.

Basically, furries are animal people who are people (which are also animals) who represent themselves as another animal who also act like people, but they're animals; not people but still animals even though people are animals, just not that kind of animal but also do people things as animals tbh
