Aww :( I only got a room from changing to one of the hotels a way out from the main convention space. There's a bus that serves the route tho so it should be fine. Did you get into ConFuzzled at least?

The first year I attended @nordicfuzzcon.org was in 2016 where the official attendance was just over 500. This year's NFC had an attendance of over 10 times that. My reg number for next year is pretty close to 5000. This is going to be a busy con isn't it?

I kinda miss the old days when ConFuzzled published a list of attendees and their countries so you could see at a glance who you knew would be visiting the con and which countries were being represented. I realise that's a bit of a privacy nightmare tho. So, who do I know who will be going to CFz?

That's NFC paid for. Having to dip into my savings account which is less than ideal but it'll be preferable to credit card charges. All in all, it pretty much works out to be about £60 a night per person for 6 nights (doing early and late) which is perfectly reasonable

As I drink zero sugar sodas, Pepsi Max is far superior to Coke Zero (in my opinion). Though if I do get the full sugar variety, Coke is generally nicer

Their solution to the Win10 support thing at our place is to replace all our laptops. However that got delayed so we don't really know what the plan is. I guess we pay for extended support!

In surprising news, I managed to secure a room for ConFuzzled in the main hotel, the Hilton, sharing with @kootenay.corvid.ing. I honestly didn't expect this outcome but I'm super grateful that it did! However I am less keen on having to pay for both NFC and CFz at the same time. Gonna be broke!

Fortunately, owing to a bit of brute strength & teamwork, we were able to free get the machine out by dislodging the side panel from the sink countertop/wall/floor which it had been silicon glued to. Absolutely insane build choice when they surely should have just screwed the panel in place instead

Just had the washing machine sorted. Turns out it was a faulty touch panel which he had a replacement part for. However we didn't consider was that the kitchen fitters actually glued the washing machine in place attaching it to the side panel of the cabinet making it virtually impossible to get into

It's almost cold enough to get me to put the heating on while working from home now but I must resist. I will offset the cold with fluffy clothing and hot drinks!

Working my way through the pick and mix box of hot chocolate flavours I selected while visiting the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser Cafe in Manchester on Saturday. Yesterday I tried the Black Forest Gateau flavour which was superb. Today I'm trying the Peanut Butter flavour but I'm not as taken by it
