Protect historical documents- digitize them, send them to colleagues outside the US, etc. Create a situation where no amount of deleting or burning will destroy them.

NEW — I dug into the story of ICE abducting a 13-year-old boy in Massachusetts and moving him 500 miles across state lines without notifying his mother, local cop's complicity, and how the federal government's justification for such cruelty is already falling apart:

ICE took a 13-year-old they said had a gun. Local cops say he didn’t.

Now he's detained 500 miles away from his Massachusetts home.

I just checked and this is real. It's on Border Patrol's official Instagram (I don't see it on Facebook) and is being celebrated by Nazis on Twitter, as you can see in the screenshot.

The clip is just 13 seconds long too, so it's a very intentional thing. We've got a Nazi government.

I wish I hadn't sold my Minuteman or Continental Navy kits. I'd be showing up so patriotically that George Washington himself would rise from the dead.

That one just caught me so off guard. I know of a few women journalists who were involved in WW2 and Partisan movements (who routinely stole those hats, because they were pretty utilitarian and an enemy hat deprives an enemy of a hat) so I had to reread your post a few times to check dates.

I admit I was actually a tad shocked with their private chats. I used to drink with Republican reps and staffers in the early 2000s, my art dealer was one, and the conversations were surprisingly BlueSky appropriate. Then I remember it's 2025 and those folks all switched party or turned evil./

I enlisted for healthcare for my wife and son, and to get out of an economically depressed area. Pretty crappy when that becomes the best choice. These folks don't realize/
