I agree. Again, as it used to be. Most people must know by now that it's recorded on the Saturday. Fewer contestants would be better, too - the first batch of episodes are far too long.

Racists regularly complain that BAME people don’t try to fit in, don’t try to be part of “our culture” etc so it always amuses me when you see them screaming at advertisers for including them in their marketing. It’s not as if tv is awash with adverts for molokhia leaves, jerk chicken and ghee.

We studied 19th & 20th c history at A Level back before The Flood

We saw the bodies dumper trucked into mass graves at 17. We learnt all about Stalin.

My problem with ringers is that, in a situation like this week, the judges will always save the ringer. It's simply unfair for absolute novices to compete against people who have danced professionally. I'm really pissed off about this week. REALLY pissed off.

I’ll tell it now quickly. It paints me in a very good light, I’m sorry to say, but I just sent a text. So when the Caron Keating #TOTP was shown on BBC Four, I texted Gloria and said that they’d shown it and sent her the link. Gloria rings and says “can you get it on a DVD for me?”. “I’ll try”.
