I love Christmas and normally I'd be getting so excited right about now, but this year I'm a little down because it's our first holiday since we lost Fergus. I'm hoping I can spread some cheer and regain a little spirit myself by raising some funds for our local shelter! givebutter.com/n5l31M

Frank's ashes were delivered yesterday. I hope I won't be needing their services again soon, but when my cats eventually pass I'll be contacting Pet Peace again, they were wonderful.

There has literally never been a universal basic income trial program that didn't deliver real and measurable results above and beyond any other form of social welfare, and every time another concludes with the same findings the powers that be go "interesting! Anyway," and pretend it wouldn't work.

Which is why "affordable" housing more often excludes homeless people, and people on welfare, as they are priced out of it by being too poor
In “social” housing, the umbrella term for both public and community homes, rent is determined by income – people typically pay 25-30%. Affordable housing, however, is linked to market rent, with people receiving a discount of 20% or more.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
