Also, where are the protests concerned free Palestinians?

Once a dictatorship that took power in a coup, always a dictatorship that took power in a coup. But now that the PA has asked the world for help restoring its legitimate rule over ALL of Palestine, Hamas' days are numbered.

I just don't handle help-o-holes well. These are people who give unsolicited advice when I'm doing something comfortably within my competence. They usually don't handle well 'stop' and 'no', but they insist that they wanted to help.

So I tell them, 'here is how you can help', and they just don't.

OTOH when anti-Zionism means "Israel must not annex the West-Bank", that is clearly not antisemitism.
tamasrev.bsky.social
Quote often anti-Zionism is already antisemitism, e.g. when they say stuff like "Israel shouldn't exist". (I know, there are exceptions, like some religious groups that think this Israel is not the real then, the Messiah didn't come back, etc.

In other words: once you are condemning the essential nature of a population as fundamentally false, parasitic & evil, you have entered Nazi territory, whether you admit to it or not.

Saying "it's not antisemitic, Jews and Israelis are unrelated," is the fig leaf of a coward.

Some hostage's smile looks a bit. No wonder, they went through 2 years of torture, violence, starvation. If (!) everything goes well, their healing can start now.

No. Zionism is a moot ideology, because it already achieved its goal. Israel, the refuge state for the vulnerable ethnic group, exists. The only reason it's still being discussed is that some people have a sick, racist idea that they could UNMAKE the refuge for this vulnerable population.

Each time I need to refine the beginning (and thus the end) of a story, I always rewatch this pieace from @maryrobinettekowal.com

It's a short vid, I could just memorize it, but listening to this helps me thinking outside of the box.

I'm pleased that they've done this.

(Although the cynic in me thinks they've seen the tea leaves about copyright and the bubble and basically that people think AI imagery and writing is shite. They could have declared this ages ago)

Both DC and Marvel have expressed that gen AI has no place in their comic books.

That’s significant.

I hope they go further and enshroud that in contracts if they haven’t already. #CreateDontScrape

My statement on Middle East peace
A white graphic with a blue border includes the following text:

My Statement on Middle East Peace
October 9, 2025

After two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza, we should all be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight; that those hostages still being held will be reunited with their families; and that vital aid can start reaching those inside Gaza whose lives have been shattered. More than that, though, it now falls on Israelis and Palestinians, with the support of the U.S. and the entire world community, to begin the hard task of rebuilding Gaza – and to commit to a process that, by recognizing the common humanity and basic rights of both peoples, can achieve a lasting peace.

So how do you throw? It's basically a spiral movement, like almost every other thing that we do in sports. The power comes from the legs. And instead of trying to be strong, you should focus on being fast and being loose.

"Dad, thanks for teaching me how to throw" - said my daughter.

I'm so happy, I learned how to throw in my mid 30s, and it wasn't just a fun project.

Even though I find Trumps policies repellent, this is his second achievement in the Middle East. The first was the Abraham Accords.

So I think the right question to ask is "What did Trump (or Witkoff) understand about Middle East that leftist didn't?".

Criticism also points out that the following would help more & help everyone:
- better public infrastructure like nurseries, kindergartens, schools, Healthcare
- financial support for those in need

If you flip the point of view, it also means that high-income parents will have to pay less tax.

This is what Orbán does in Hungary, and it has been criticized for helping high-income parents while not doing much for poor parents.

Did anyone see a sign at yesterday’s Free Palestine protests demanding Hamas accept the Trump deal?

Israel, Qatar, and the US already did. Only Hamas hasn’t.

How silly of me to think that a “peaceful” movement would actually want… peace.

"It's the weirdest job market in my 15 years in tech" -- from a Big Tech recruiter. But why is the job market so weird?

Talking to 30+ hiring managers and recruiters, it doesn't seem like AI. It seems more like.. interest rates.
