The weakness in Shota's game, to me, is his selling and a heel run would help because he could connect with the crowd in other ways

(Plus can we PLEASE have some heels not in HoT 😂 I'm sure BC will swing back, I do not think David Finlay has truly rediscovered the power of friendship but c'mon) 🤼‍♂️

I truly think they're reluctant to make Red Shoes part of the narrative the way they would need to if Shota's a top level heel but 🤷‍♀️

I would have he & Yuya have a disastrous WTL & build to a WK match from there, have him leave Yuya is a pool of blood in the Dome while Red Shoes watches aghast 🤼‍♂️

Why wouldn't they? They do JTL every year, it lets them showcase their juniors ( and they have exceptional talent in that division,) the heavyweights get a break & this year it's highlighting the ongoing relationship with Dragongate. NJPW does tournaments, it's the rhythm of the company 🤼‍♂️
