Five reasons to rally! Another one I didn’t mention — it’s fun and it makes you feel better. Thanks to everyone who is already out there. I’ll be at #NoKings in Cincinnati.

Himes: If you've got the capability to blow a boat out of the water, you've got the capability to interdict it, arrest everyone on board, interrogate them, and find out where it was going, where it came from, who the bosses are, and what the distribution networks look like.
Carry Joy Beyond the Rally.
After the event, share stories, photos, and reflections that highlight unity and courage—show the world what peaceful power looks like.
(6/6)
Be Mindful of Words & Tone.
Speak with kindness, even when disagreeing. Avoid insults, sarcasm, or chants that demean others.

Model Nonviolence in Every Action.
If confronted, breathe, stay calm, and step back. Do not engage or argue, alert a Guardian in an orange vest.
(5/6)
Keep It Clean and Respectful.
Leave our rally space as beautiful as you found it—or better. Treat it with respect, car, and gratitude for peace.

Make Your Sign Speak Peace.
Choose messages that uplift—creative, clever, values-based signs draw attention without aggression or profanity.
(4/6)
Celebrate Families & Kids.
Keep the atmosphere family-friendly & invite children to join in with chants & songs—joyful ways to express civic pride.

Lift your Voice with Positivity.
Joy is contagious. The more you smile, sing, & stay grounded, the safer and stronger everyone around you feels.
(3/6)
Look Out for One Another.
Offer water, a smile, or friendly chat to someone nearby. Check on families, elders, and people with mobility needs.

Smile and Greet Others.
Say hello, wave, or share a word of encouragement. Small acts of friendliness build community trust and lower tension.

Lead with Love, Not Anger.
Focus your energy on what you stand for, not what you stand against. Anger fades; compassion lasts.

Trump would like you to believe that protesting against him means you hate America.

What he fails to remember is that protesting against tyranny is how this country was founded.

So many, many reasons to protect others. And when we do, we protect ourselves in the process.
I just want to add that for people on immunosuppressants, catching covid (or many other things) means they're often directed to stop taking their medication so they can fight off the virus. This risks a relapse of their condition and introduces a host of complications in addition to the covid ones.
To you, getting covid may be no big deal.

But thanks to a failure in public health you have no idea who or what you’re risking.

Repeat covid infections are really bad for those with Long Covid.

Did you know that Black, Latino and Native American communities are at highest risk for Long Covid?
So true. And the result will be untold pain and suffering all across our nation and the world.
You don’t build science-based agencies overnight. It takes years/decades to accumulate the knowledge-base, robust data sets, & personnel expertise for trusted orgs like the CDC, NIH, NSF, & NOAA to function properly. This regime has condemned us to second-tier science/health status for decades.
“The administration did not like that CDC data did not support their narrative, so they got rid of them. They didn’t like that CDC policy groups would not rubber stamp their unscientific ideas, so they got rid of them”.

The damage to the CDC is “beyond repair”.
Absolutely.
Good morning.

Democrats have no obligation to vote for a budget that funds corruption and totalitarianism.

Trump is willing to do whatever it takes to destroy our democracy and pad the pockets of billionaires.

People don't want Democrats to wilt. They want us to fight.

Egypt has extremely strict gun control laws. Civilians are only permitted to own handguns -- no rifles or shotguns -- and only if they can prove they need the weapon for a specific purpose. Background checks for licensing are extensive and include vetting of family members and psych evaluations.
Trump on Egypt: "They have very little crime. Because they don't play games. That's why. Like we do in the United States with governors that have no idea what they're doing."
