i still remember in the wake of the atlanta murders of 2021 so many people made comments about "happy endings" and, when pressed, argued that it wasn't offensive, it was just a joke
gonna say something that probably only a handful of you will interact with but the root of a lot of anti asian racism--apart from the piece where some people just want us dead--is that at the core a lot of non-asian people who encounter the term don't actually believe anti asian racism exists.

nearly got t-boned, first time I've been saved by my electric motor.
I had right of way on left turn, road was clear, going the speed limit. Guy comes barreling down way over the limit and missed me by maybe a few feet when I shot up like 20 MPH at the last second. Didn't slow down even a little.
