I'm not remotely English, and I'm from a working class family, but I sound like I'm English and upper middle class.

Which was useful in the RAF but it's a fecking millstone at home, either here or in Galway.

The irritating thing is, there is no one Cornish accent. Locals can tell what village someone comes from usually by their accent.

Though me being autistic and non-verbal initially, I somehow ended up sounding like a BBC news reader from the 1980s. Which isn't ideal when you're Cornish and Irish.

It's an autistic friend of mine's birthday today, and her problematic aunt has shown up and the family home to start a fight and caused my friend to have a fucking panic attack, and if I lived closer to Brighton I'd be on a murderous rampage right now.
