Why do they want us to leave the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)?

Some moot leaving the ECHR as a pragmatic solution to an immigration “crisis”, but is there a more sinister motive behind the push?

@zackpolanski.bsky.social has changed the narrative in a handful of months. And the media and the established political class are unable to look away. Every headline, every jibe, only points to the fact that they cannot look away. Phenomenal.

The can has been well and truly kicked down the road. @greenparty.org.uk and @zackpolanski.bsky.social in power would tax wealth and and at least attempt to fix it. Reform in power would give more tax cuts to their rich cronies, and make it much much worse. #VoteGreen
The tax rises in this Budget’s are backloaded.

They're largely kick in in what is likely to be a pre-election year, somewhat implausibly.

Yet another manifesto commitment watered down by Labour.

The climate crisis worsens every year, but the government continues to retreat.

Instead of action we see climbdowns, u-turns and backtracking. All while the world's biggest polluters celebrate and rake in the profit.

Seems like Farage's Reform Party won't be receiving as many donations in future.
Russia's deficit has leaped from $2bn last year to $48bn this year. And selling some of its $200bn gold stockpile is needed.

But when 𝟰𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 is on the military, it's clear that Russia is in big trouble.

Sanctions work.
📉 Russia turns to gold sales as its deficit surges, reversing decades of stockpiling and signaling the strain on its war-time finances.

It's just so transparent. Isn't anyone capable of independent thought anymore?
Headline on The World at One just now:

"Sir Keir Starmer has denied putting the Labour Party before the country by ending the two-child benefit cap".

Can we please go back to reporting the actual news, not someone's partisan take on it?
